The board of directors is the governing body of the Coalition. It sets the general objectives and goals of the coalition, the broad guidelines and oversees the implementation of the set policies. It ensures that the organization carries out its mission and achieves its objectives. It is legally responsible for the organization’s activities.
The board of directors is composed of a maximum of 12 members representing as best as possible each sector of the MSMES ecosystem.
Each Board Member will monitor the activities, reforms, policies of the sector they are representing.
They will advocate for reforms and innovative policies or programs likely to create more impact for the MSMES.
The board will meet biannually.
The Board will establish standing committees such as the Executive Committee.
The Board of directors votes the executive committee into office, electing those who they believe will best suit the roles of each position. Board members define the specific duties of the committee. As such, the executive committee is a subset of the board of directors and will be composed of 5 members.
The executive committee is composed of elected board members and acts as a steering committee for the full board. Its main purpose is to facilitate decision-making between board meetings or in urgent and crisis circumstances. It has the power to act on behalf of the full board. It prioritizes issues for the full board to address, is responsible for overseeing board policies, and must ensure good governance practices.

The Executive Committee is led by a President. A project Manager under the supervision of the Secretariat, may also be included if the need arises.
The committee is expected to meet frequently outside of board meetings to discuss any pressing work, typically on a quarterly basis.
The President is the Coalition’s spokesperson & preside over the Executive Committee. The president also acts as a liaison to all possible partners of the Coalition and key partners.
The Vice President in charge of Planning & Strategy works on the Strategy of the Coalition and plan the annual meeting in their year of service. He is also in charge of the fundraising plan for the Coalition to finance specific projects.
The Vice President in charge of Programs coordinates and assesses the outcomes of all the Coalitions activity within the year and report the findings to the President. He oversees all Coalition projects from Inception to Implementation and coordinates Projects Management units.
He keeps records of all meetings and activities undertaken by the Coalition. He manages the membership list and receives all new membership applications. He serves as the main communication center within the Coalition. He is responsible for receiving all Projects Proposal for reviewing and approval by the Vice Presidents and the President. He ensures the line of reporting of every project between the VPs and the Committee.
He keeps records and accounts of the Association. He serves as custodian of the funds and properties of the Coalition and shall present a report in writing of the Coalition’s financial position at each Coalition Annual Meeting
